Planting Sequoia Seeds
Giant sequoias grow from seeds the size and shape of a grain of oatmeal. Yet they become some of the largest, longest-living trees on earth. The largest sequoia is over 2000 years old and over 100 feet in circumference! The person who plants one will never see what it fully becomes.
That’s how I see this journey. I’m planting small things-words, art, pieces of hope, trusting they will grow beyond me, encouraging people I may never meet.
Standing beneath a giant sequoia also reminds me there is a God far bigger than I am, bigger than my story, bigger than my cancer. And that gives me hope to keep planting.
